Melissa Alhezayen, AGNP-C
Texas Woman's University
I was drawn to medicine after touring a genetic research facility while I was a member of the Genetics Club at Texas A&M University. However, because of my love of science and desire to work with people, I made the decision to pursue a career that provided me with direct patient interaction. I spent seven years as an RN before pursuing training to become a nurse practitioner. As an NP, I love being able to help people for a variety of their healthcare needs. When working with patients, my approach is to listen first and simply enjoy my patients as people. I am married to an internal medicine hospitalist and have two sets of twins. I am originally from Austin, but moved to Plano from Saudi Arabia because Dallas has every sports team a person (AKA my husband) could ever want. I love it here.
